A man made homeless by the earthquake which ravaged central Italy has written to Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi asking him to keep his promise and give up one of his houses to the people who lost theirs.
Berlusconi, 72, made the offer of opening up his many properties to some of the 50,000 people made homeless by the quake while touring the disaster area.
Three hundred people were killed in the April tremor which measured 6.3 on the Richter scale and as he pressed the flesh the former cruise ship crooner turned politician said: ‘I will also do what I can by offering my houses.
